In our bustling lives, it's easy to overlook the incredible dedication and service our pastors provide. Pastors tirelessly lead us through life's challenges, providing a sense of direction and purpose. Their sermons inspire, their prayers uplift, and their presence reassures us during times of uncertainty.

Beyond the pulpit, pastors are deeply involved in our daily lives. They celebrate our joys, comfort us in our sorrows, and help us navigate through difficult times. 

We are blessed to have such incredible leaders at HCC, and we are excited to celebrate our Lead Pastors, Chris and Magan Holder, on Sunday, August 10th, in the Gathering Place after Service.

This special event is a time for us to come together and show our appreciation for their unwavering dedication, inspiring leadership, and the loving relationship they share with our congregation.

Pastor Chris and Magan have been a guiding light for our church, shepherding our flock with grace, wisdom, and compassion. Their commitment to our spiritual growth and well-being is truly remarkable, and we are deeply grateful for all they do.

Ways to Celebrate and Honor Pastor Chris and Magan:


1. Contribute to the Blessings Basket

We’ll be collecting cards, handwritten notes, gift cards, and small gifts for the Holder family to present to them at the event.

  • Drop-off Location: Ministry Connection Desk in the Sanctuary Lobby or MC Lobby Reception Desk.

  • Drop-off Dates: Any Sunday between now and August 10th at the Ministry Connection Desk, or during Office Hours or Wednesday evenings at the MC Reception Desk

  • Below is also have a list of the family’s favorite stores, restaurants, and some favorite things to help with gift card ideas.

  • Shopping: Hobby Lobby, Target, Amazon, Dicks, Lowe’s
    Eat: Texas Roadhouse, Chick-fil-a, Starbucks or Dunkin Donuts
    Some other Favorites: Detroit RedWings Hockey, Tennessee Vols, Diet Pepsi


    2. Donate to the Pastor Appreciation Fund

    If you’d prefer to make a monetary donation, our Pastor Appreciation fund is now live in the online giving system. All contributions will go directly to blessing the Holder family.


    3. Join the Celebration

    On August 10th, we’ll host a special time together as a Soul Family as we share words of thanks, the Family their Blessings Basket, and let the Holders know how much they mean to us. Several ministries will also be presenting a small gift or gesture of appreciation during the event. We will have some light refreshments available.

    Whether you give a gift, write a card, or simply come and speak encouragement to Pastor Chris and his family in person, we’d love for every member of the Soul Family to take part in this special day.
