Michele Hyre

Born and raised in Anne Arundel County, Maryland, Michele was raised by Christian parents and has served in the church most of her life in such roles as youth leader, nursery caregiver, Sunday school teacher, and children’s worship dance instructor. Michele began working for the Department of Defense in 1991...continuing her passion for grammar – as an editor/writer. In 1998, Michele married Bryan Hyre (whom she met in 1996 on one beautiful summer day at Heritage). In 1999, Michele received a federal scholarship to finish her degree, graduating in 2000 from University of Maryland with a BS in Communication Studies.

Later that year,Bryan and Michele welcomed their first child – Emiley Paige into their lives. In 2001, Michele resigned from the traditional workforce to be a stay-at-home mom. It was also during that year Michele was offered the position of Nursery Director at HCC - a position she fell in love with.
 

In 2003, their second daughter Lillian Kate was born. Some years later, Michele became the Early Education Director at HCC – whereby she coordinated and supervised the nursery, preschool, and kindergarten programs. In the fall of 2008, Michele expanded her role to include the elementary school programs as well; hence filling the position of Children’s Ministry Program Manager. In her spare time, she loves spending time with her family, editing anything and everything, and writing jingles!
