Dorothy Frizzelle
Born in the Tidewater area of VA., Dorothy was raised in a family of 9 children. She accepted Christ as her Savior as a teenager and felt the call of God into ministry. Beginning with teaching. and evangelizing, she was licensed by the Church
of God in Cleveland, TN. in 1960. She traveled extensively with her military husband teaching and preaching wherever they were stationed for 20 yrs.
Four children were born to them and they settled in Howard County, MD. where Dorothy worked as a Substitute teacher for 15 years in the public schools. She has served as Pastor to several churches in the areas and received a Master Christian Service Training Diploma in 1976 for successfully completing the courses offered by the Church of God. To fulfill a childhood dream, she enrolled at Howard Community College and received her A.A. in Nursing in 1980 and has worked as a Registered nurse until the present time, including teaching Diabetic classes at a local hospital.
Becoming a widow, after 34 years of marriage, she moved to Anne Arundel County and became the Pastor of Ladies Ministry at Heritage Community Church.
At the present time, she is involved in teaching adult classes, speaking at retreats, serving on the Ladies Board, visiting the sick, encouraging others. She likes to travel, is an avid Bible Crossword puzzle player and cherishes time with her children, her 6 grandchildren, and 2 great grandchildren all of whom she adores. Her daily prayer and heart's desire is that others will see God in her life and desire to follow Him.
