Cristy Eslick
I was born the fifth of six children in Helena, Montana on May 25, 1956. I have four older sisters and one younger brother. I was eleven when my mother, at the young age of 35, passed away from leukemia. I graduated from high school in May 1974, met John Eslick in August and we were married soon after. John and I gave our hearts and lives to God together in July 1976. We have two children together who are grown and married.
John and I moved to California in 1979 where we attended Living Waters Christian Fellowship for 16 years. Shortly after moving to California we both volunteered as preschool Sunday school teachers. Slowly God moved me from one age group to another and eventually I became volunteer Children’s Pastor; while John was called to the mission fields of Mexico and the Philippines. During the time in California we met Pastor Steve Hall and LaDon. They came on staff as the Youth Pastors and I had the privilege of ministering together with them for 4 years until they relocated to Maryland. I volunteered in the Children’s Ministry position for 9 years.
In July 1995, Pastor Steve Hall offered me the opportunity to interview for Children’s Pastor at Heritage and the rest is history. We made the cross country move to Maryland in August 1995. In the past 11 years our lives have changed tremendously. While in Maryland, God has blessed us with two amazing daughters-in-law, three adorable grandchildren, our own home and a treasure trove of friends, not to mention the most wonderful job in the world. I am a Licensed Minister
