Our mission is to provide a positive influence for foster children between the ages of 15 and 25 to fill the gaps left by the Department of Social Services, the Judicial System, family and friends while nurturing the love of Jehovah God, love of self and others.
Culture:
Our culture is to accept we are all sinners; Jesus is the teacher we strive to follow and to create a safe and loving environment for people to relax, reflect and grow while we serve others.
Expectations for Clients:
We expect our clients to be between ages 15 and 25 and a former foster child.
We expect our clients to be open to following directions.
We expect our clients to be open to hearing about God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit.
We expect our clients to be open to change.
We expect our clients to help by asking questions and completing a personality survey, providing documentation to support the need, providing contact information and a reliable emergency contact person and number.
We expect our clients to acknowledge our response in writing.
We expect our clients to share community resources.
We expect our clients to provide positive feedback to improve our program.
Expectations for Volunteers:
We expect our volunteers to develop and strengthen their personal relationships with God through life experience, Bible study and service.
We expect our volunteers to share their SHAPE with strangers. We expect our volunteers to complete the 301 class.
We expect our volunteers to be compassionate and understanding that life is not perfect or fair.
We expect our volunteers to get educated on foster care resources, judicial resources, grants and other community organizations who we can partner with to fill the needs quickly and efficiently.
We expect our volunteers to seek out employment resources for our clients.
We expect our volunteers to be quick to listen, slow to speak and loving in our actions.
We expect our volunteers to work together to strengthen the body of Christ and share the Word of salvation and grace with all.
We expect our volunteers to pray for one another and themselves.
We expect our volunteers to praise God at all times.
We expect our volunteers to mentor others.
We expect our volunteers to keep leadership informed of changes in their schedules and contact information and bring conflicts to the leadership using the above and below ship method.
We expected our volunteers to attend scheduled Clarence Steven Allen IV Memorial Fund meetings and fellowship events.
