Unpublishing Ministry Pages

When ministries are closed or need to shutdown for an extended period of time, you may want to remove the Ministry page listing from the website but not delete it. Here are the steps to do that. This proceedure will remove the ministry pages from view under ministries, and ministry contacts.

1. After logging into a privileged account, go to http://heritage-cc.org/admin/content/node where you will see all the content on the website.

2. To make it easer to find the proper ministry page use the Filter controls and select the type and then Ministry Page and click the filter button 

3. Now that you only see the ministry pages, you'll notice that under the status column, you see either publish or unpublish - clicking on this link will do that. If a ministry status says unpublish, that means it is currently published and if you click on it, the page will be unpublished.  Don't worry, unpublishing is NOT deleting, it just won't be available for non privileged users to see.

So, now that you have unpublished the ministry, go ahead check where it was supposed to be under ministries and also under ministry contacts. If you ever want the ministry to appear again, follow the same proceedure and click on publish. Remember to edit the ministry if the details have changed before publishing it again.
